Happy Hour at The Hills Hideaway:
We are getting the weekend kicked off by gathering at The Hills Hideaway (www.thehillshideaway.com) located right off Dickson Street at 401 W. Watson St., Ste. 203. The fun will start at 6:00 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. We will plan to wrap up around 8:00 for anyone who wants to catch part of the Homecoming Game or hit Dickson Street. Of course, The Hills Hideaway is open until midnight for anyone who wants to stay! Attire is casual as this is just a starting point…either to the game or to continue revisiting spots on Dickson Street.
Homecoming Game – FHS vs. Rogers
The Purple Dawgs have started their season 3-0 and will be taking on the Rogers Mounties at 7:00 p.m. at Harmon Field! Not only will you get to see all of the Homecoming festivities but you will also get to see the new sports and academic center that was built at the south endzone of Harmon Field. So put on that purple and come help cheer them on to V-I-C-T-O-R-Y!

FHS Class of ’93 Reunion Party:
Saturday night is going to be full of fun, laughter, dancing to your favorite 90s hits, and reconnecting with classmates! Word on the street is that a lot of people both local and from out of town will be coming to downtown Fayetteville for the festivities! The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Fayetteville Town Center (15 W. Mountain St. on the Fayetteville Square). There is a parking garage located next to it for easy accessibility. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available. For our entertainment that evening, Dial Up (https://dialup90s.com) will be covering all of our favorite 90s songs! Attire is smart casual…which is basically casual to business casual. Just be comfortable and ready to have a great time!
Tour of FHS:
A lot can change in 30 years…including our dear Alma Mater! If you haven’t seen FHS in a while…you WILL NOT recognize it. So much has been added, including a beautiful library named after Matt Moore. Our beloved faculty member, Warren “Rose” Rosenaur is looking forward to leading the Class of ’93 around to see what has stayed the same and what has changed. The tour will meet at 10:00 in the Bulldog Lobby (our old main entrance). Feel free to park in the senior parking lot between FHS and Harmon Field.
Golf:
Are you interested in a round of golf with ’93 classmates? We are looking at reserving tee times at Fayetteville Country Club. Please sign up here if you would like to join us on this outing Saturday morning. By signing up here, we are not guaranteeing a tee time, but we will make an effort to make it happen and be in touch with you on details.
Where: Fayetteville Country Club – 3335 S Country Club Dr. (subject to change)
When: Morning, depending on interest and tee time availability
Cost: $100+
Sign-up: When filling out the registration form, please mark that you are interested and give us the following information: Name, Email, and Cell Phone
Pickleball Tourney:
Come join us Saturday morning at the Fayetteville High tennis courts to play the fastest-growing sport in America, Pickleball. Have some fun, fellowship, and burn some calories from Friday night’s festivities! We will organize the matches based on interest and experience level. We plan to have some rackets available for use that day, but please bring your own.
Where: FHS Tennis Courts – 915 W Clinton Dr.
When: 10:00 a.m.
Cost: Free
Sign-up: When filling out the registration form, please mark that you are interested and give us the following information: Name, Email, and Experience Level (1 = never played to 5 = I should be making money doing this)
Arkadia Retrocade:
So, it's been 30 years…but who's counting?! And, if you are in the mood to go back in time and try to make the high score on PacMan or Galaga all while supporting one of our Class of ’93 classmates…then a visit to Arkadia is a MUST! Shea Mathis and Arkadia Retrocade were recently highlighted in Channel 5’s “Around the Corner”. You can check out that feature here: Arkadia is a laser blast-from-the-past | Around the Corner | 5newsonline.com
Arkadia is located in Evelyn Hills (1478 N. College) and is open on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. and Sunday from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday Bike Ride:
Come take advantage of one of the best features to be added to the Fayetteville area in the last 30 years! Depending on the weather, we plan to depart from Lake Fayetteville Veterans Park around 10:00 and head south on the Greenway. The total route is planned for around 15 miles, but we can extend or shorten it depending on the mood of the group. Also, feel free to join and/or drop at any point in the ride!
Here is the planned route:

Would love of those who live local to bring your bike and join us. For those of you coming from out of town, there are several options to rent bikes from local bike shops but bikes and sizes are limited so I recommend reserving a bike sooner rather than later.
For those who want to join, but want zero effort, there are the Veo & Spin electric bikes and scooters that can be found around Fayetteville.
Bike Rental Options:
Pedego
Around 7 e-bikes to rent. ~ $60 for 4 hours
https://pedegoelectricbikes.com/dealers/fayetteville/
Best way to rent is directly from their website.
Phat Tire
(479) 966-4308
Both Hybrid (~6 bikes) and E-Bikes (~5 bikes) to rent.
~$28 for 4 hours on the Hybrid and $65 for all day for the e-bikes.
Best option is to call and reserve a bike
Lake Fayetteville
479-444-3476
https://www.fayetteville-ar.gov/3135/Bike-Rentals
Lots of bike options to rent
$60 for 4 hours for a standard bike
Veo / Spin Bike Electric Rentals
Download the apps to your phone. These are usually $1 to unlock and charge by the minute. Veo is .29/min for the sit-down bike version.
Note that these do not include helmets.
I was able to talk to one of the Veo workers, and he promised that he would have several of the sit-down bikes ready for rental at the Lake Fayetteville location. I wouldn’t recommend the stand-up scooters, but I’m not your mom…
