COVID-19 Educator Relief Funding FAQ

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation is coordinating with the community, business, and philanthropic resources in support of the teachers in the Fayetteville Public Schools and the immediate and ever-changing needs of our school district. Fayetteville Public Education Foundation has established the COVID-19 Educator Relief Fund to receive immediate dollars to support the urgent needs of teachers and the care of our students in the current national health emergency.

What projects are eligible? Expand

Projects that fill in gaps identified and extra resources needed in response to COVID19 to improve in-person and online instruction during the Fall semester.

The Fayetteville Public Education Foundation will prioritize grants that have the capacity to meet the urgent and basic needs of students in our Public Schools, with the goal of reducing the most basic barriers to student learning.

Who is eligible to apply? Expand

Potential grantseekers may include FPS teachers, staff, and parent groups, such as PTO.

Is there a requested amount limit? Expand

No, this unique grant cycle there will not be a limit on your requested amount. Recipients are not guaranteed the full requested amount and may receive partial funding based on funds and merit of application.

Do I need to get a supervisor's approval signature? Expand

Yes, supervisors must review your proposal before submission. By hitting the submit button you are verifying that your grant has been reviewed and approved by the school principal and/or department director.

When is the deadline? Expand

The deadline to submit the grant application is September 4, 2020, at 11:59 p.m.

When will I hear if I have been awarded or not? Expand

September 24, 2020.

Can I apply if I still have funds from previous grant cycle? Expand

Yes, please contact Emma at emma@fayedfoundation.org to fill out a short questionnaire about previous funding before submitting COVID-19 grant.
