Billie Jo has a well-recognized history of supporting Fayetteville schools and as a generous benefactor of the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation.
She served on the Foundation’s Board of Directors and was inducted into the Fayetteville Public School’s Hall of Honor in 1997 in recognition of her efforts to grow the thriving community and school district we’re so fortunate to have in Fayetteville today.
Through the generous support of the Foundation's Taylor-Lackey Fund students at Ramay Junior High participated in the I Am More Than My Skin Color project. This grant allowed students to develop a deeper sense of personal identity and empathy towards others within the context of race relations both past and present through a novel, author visit, research, and student creative writing gallery.

"We wanted to honor Martha's legacy as a champion for the education of underprivileged or disenfranchised students. We were able to do that through the establishment of the Agee Family Fund in honor of Martha Agee which will provide an annual grant for programs that empower at-risk students in our public schools." – Janie & Kim Agee
