Thanks to the support of the Truity Education Foundation and the Bob Gaddy Keystone Endowment, the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation was able to fund the Greenhouse Garden Project. The greenhouse at Fayetteville High School has afforded over 400 students a state-of-the-art teaching facility that provides hands-on agricultural activities, builds agri-career skills, and encourages healthy lifestyle choices.  The greenhouse also provides a place for students to collaborate with the biology and advanced biology classes.

Meet Decade Donors of the Foundation, Bruce and Karen Armstrong.  Bruce and Karen share a rich heritage with Fayetteville Public Schools.  Having attended FHS themselves, they feel motivated to give back to public education so that current and future students can experience the best education system our community can provide.

FHS is where Karen and Bruce first met and became high school sweethearts. Karen and Bruce later graduated from FHS in 1980. Building on their legacy, the Armstrongs’ children, Meredith and Reid, also graduated from FHS, making them the third generation of FHS graduates in Karen’s family.

As devoted Education Society Members of the Foundation, the Armstrongs strive to be examples to others in the community to support a strong public education system and hope that their support inspires a sense of life-long learning and appreciation for the value of education.

For more information on how to become an Education Society Member like the Armstrongs, please visit our website.

The Fayetteville Public Education Foundation is pleased to announce that we received a gift of $250,000 to establish the Pendergraft Grant awarded from the Neal R. Pendergraft Endowment, funded by Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.

It was Neal and Gina's desire that the Pendergraft Grant be teacher driven, to create innovative projects that will enrich the academic experiences of our children.

The Pendergraft Grant will be distributed annually through the Foundation’s teacher grant process and will fund larger projects that cast a wider net and reach more students. In the last year, forty-four teachers received over $185,000 in grants that served over 12,000 students. We are indebted to Neal and Gina for helping us continue to provide our children with the best education in the State of Arkansas.
