The Fayetteville Public Education Foundation is gearing up for the 13th Annual Celebration of Excellence to be held Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Arkansas Air Museum (at Drake Field) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Fayetteville Public Education Foundation’s vision is to support students, kindergarten through twelfth grade, with educational experiences designed to help them reach their full potential. To achieve this, thirty-six teachers and staff of the Fayetteville Public Schools will receive a total of $161,000.00 in grants for resources and programs for their students. Nine students will receive scholarships valued at a total of $14,670.00. Cambre Horne-Brooks, Fayetteville Public Education Foundation Director, says “we bring educators and caring citizens together to support a top-notch education in Fayetteville” she continues, “we do this in a variety of ways, all of which center on help from our community, alumni and friends. The event is a time when we celebrate these partnerships.” To that end, during the Celebration the Foundation also presents the A.P.P.L.E. (A Patron Providing Leadership by Example) Award. This year’s A.P.P.L.E. recipients will be Phillip Martin of Lifetouch Photography and CitiScapes Metro Monthly (Additional information included in packet).FPEF FacebookProfile_PaperPlaneCoE_Date
