Let's send all 7th graders to the movie adaption of A Wrinkle In Time
Every 7th grade student and teacher at Woodland Junior High is participating in a read aloud of the Newbery award winning novel, A Wrinkle in Time, and we are providing the opportunity for ALL students to see the evolution of text to film as we journey to the theater to see this classic on the big screen.
- Our 3rd quarter essential question in English is, "Why should we celebrate and respect our differences?" In this classic novel, the main character struggles with her own differences, "oddities," and unique traits. As the story unfolds, the character discovers her differences are actually strengths which she uses to become a leader and rescue the ones she loves.
- Beyond the standards, students will have the opportunity to experience a teaming adventure with the fellow students and teachers. This builds culture within the building, lifelong memories, and supports our Fayetteville Public School mission of offering meaningful and diverse educational opportunities with real world experiences.
